Once again turning to the estates in Coventry where George Shaw grew up, The World Turned Upside Down shows two lots of semi-detached houses reflected in a muddy puddle behind the houses. Shaw captures the familiar feel of the suburban landscape while disorientating the viewer with the upside down perspective.
'Our world can turn upside down without any one else feeling a thing. A parent dies, a home is lost, a whole way of life scattered.
